Hey I was invited to partake in the focusgroup and got there a few minutes
late and no one was there. Did I miss something or did the group go to some
online play or something else? Appreciate any answers.
Thanks

Brian,
We went at it for almost two hours. I thought lots of good points were made
and of course a good time had by all. All the best, Mike

Yup, it was fun in general, but it was really cool to see so many different
folks thinking very much along the same lines. I think the only thing the
group was really split on was whether the new boxes were an improvement
over the old ones. I can live with that : )

It ran from about 6:05 PM to 7:50 PM EDT. We stayed in their chat
room for the whole discussion. I did notice that someone logged in
after Ubisoft had asked maybe four or five questions to the group, and
there was a reply from their sys admin who was there, saying that the
person had logged on too late to participate. I guess they didn't
want to skew their data or something.
There was no online play, just IMO a pretty interesting discussion
(but then again, I'm an old software marketing person who'd set up
focus groups, but had never been a participant). The questions were
basically what you might think -- why did you buy F1RS; what other
sims do you have; what did you think of the MGPRS2 demo (god, I hate
that acronym!), etc. It was nice to be able to provide direct
feedback about something near and dear to our hearts like F1 sims.

It's possible that he didn't click on the locked group. I lingered in
the main lobby until someone told me to click on the locked group for
the Focus Group. There were 3 or 4 other people out there with me,
going "When do we type in the password?" and so on. He may have
gotten there too late to be guided into the room.
On another note, it's kind of cool seeing other participants "in the
wild" after the session. It's like, "Hey, I know that guy..." :)
Oh, and the acronym STILL sucks!
Did you get an email from Erica today telling you she was sending hard
copy materials for the session on Wednesday? I did and thought it was
pretty funny.

they promised to send for taking part in the group. Kinda got turned off
because of that.....

You got that right. That was one of the things that several of us
told them!
No, I got the email about the hardcopy and the hardcopy itself in
plenty of time before the focus group. She did send an email today
with the list of titles we could select from for participating. Guess
which new F1 sim title I picked. :)

Same one I did? Wonder when it will arrive? February, if at all?
