DX5 or DX6 for MGPRS2 Demo?

So, while we poor Yanks have to wait until February for MGPRS2, I figured I'd download the demo. I'll be using a Voodoo2 12MB SLI configuration with it. But before I install the demo, was hoping someone could definitively answer this question about DirectX requirements. This UbiSoft page, which I bookmarked awhile ago: http://www.f1rs.com/newseng.html says that for both minimum and recommended system requirements, "Direct X5 (should work on X6)" But this UbiSoft page: http://www.monacoracing.com/english/ says that DirectX6 is required for both minimum and recommended system requirements. So, which is correct? I've tried the core version of DX6 a month ago and it's given me *A LOT* of problems. I've used the DirectX Unistaller utility available here: http://home.att.net/%7Eebrink1/Direct.htm and it seems to have worked, and I'm back on DX5.2, according to the DX Info utility. TIA for possibly saving me from DirectX Hell. ============================ Dave Mack (remove "nospamfor_" for correspondence)
I did play the demo, delivered with the PCGames 11/98, with Win 98 with DirectX6 (for win98) I played it with 3Dfx and with D3D on my ATI-card. No problems till now. Johan J.
