Cable Modem and GPL

2 posts by 2 people · 12 Oct 1998 - 13 Oct 1998

I just built a new system last week primarily for GPL and I am ready to go with my cable modem. When I go to multiplayer it only will let me connect via my analog modem and doesnt have anywhere for me to enter an IP address. I am sure it must be something I haven't loaded. Does anyone have any idea? I appreciate any assistance you could provide. Greg Alexander
In the readme txt it explains how to cure this. You need to create "core.ini" in your GPL directory and put these lines in it: [Communications] alternate_ip_addr_lookup = 1 It will work then, personal experience >I just built a new system last week primarily for GPL and I am ready to go >with my cable modem.
