So who do we go after for all the GPL SB 128 sound problems?

Marc, I have the CL/Ensoniq AudioPCI with the Oct. 2 drivers and have no major problems. The sound is much better than the demo was with my old AWE/32, but I have noticed a little dropout of other cars in traffic. And it's not a case of low fidelity here, I run my sound card into a receiver and "real" speakers, not Altec computer stuff. -- Neil Yeatman Ajax, Ontario, CANADA
Me too on the "real" speakers point!! Anyone who has either good ears and/or the slightest knowledge about good quality sound systems would not use amplified speakers. Could you tell me how many sounds you are using in GPL, Win 95 or 98, and DX 5 or 6? I have 98/6 and my setting of 8 sounds worked fine before...but maybe I should play around with that?? Marc.

Right now I'm running 4 sounds. I had it at 6 and dialled it down when hosting a game, and I haven't dialled it back up. I run Win95 and DX6. I'll have to crank the sounds back up and see if it makes a hit on either quality or framerate. -- Neil Yeatman Ajax, Ontario, CANADA
