Viper demo- whats the best setup? It wont do what I want.

I saw some earlier post with ppl doing 59s!!!! How the hell?! Best I got so far is 1:03s. This is my setup that I use. Bump 40 30 Rebound 70 60 Springs 90 80 Antiroll 65 80 Toein .6 .2 Camber -1.4 -.7 Height 5 5 Brake 65 35 Lock 35 Aero 100 100 Final Drive 4.1 Gears default Its a pretty loose setup meaning the back end comes around and 4 wheel drifts are the norm. I just cant stand having the front end plow into the turns all the time. :) The Viper doesnt seem to have enough power to light up the rear tires in most of the turns by force. (GPL sure does tho). The problem with my setup is trying to control the oversteer out of the turn. If I'm not extremely careful, the back end starts to whip back and forth and before I know it I'm doing a 360. I'm good at those, hehe. I have tryed tons of things and just cant calm down the exit of turn overlooseness. Is there a setup that allows nice four wheel drifts and power slides like this one here but yet has a more stable feel on power oversteer on the exit of turns?

hehe ;) bit of practice, previous simracing experience, kinda knowing what i am doing when i make a setup, etc. i have that problem a lot:) it seems the only place i crash any more is exiting turn 5 (the one that leads up to the Barn) where i sometimes get the rear *** out and whoopee, out into the lake i go. it's been bugging me that i couldn't dial out that tendency, but with testing today i managed to reduce the effect a lot while still maintaining the same feel and speed to the car when i drive it normally. The back will still come right around, but it's just a little more controllable now. Try my latest setup, i managed a 59.00 with an earlier incarnation of this setup: Bump 42 35 Rebound 78 63 Springs 70 77 Anti-Roll 75 70 Toe-In -0.4 0.4 Camber -1.6 -0.6 Height 5.2 5.9 Wheel Lock 17 Brake Bias 75 25 Spoilers 100 90 Final Drive 3.90 Gearbox 1.92 1.44 1.14 0.94 0.80 0.70 my latest theory is that because my rear antiroll bar was a bit higher than the front, when the car got into this uncontrolled slide situation the rear inside wheel would lift off the ground... not helpful for trying to keep it pointing forwards! so i rearranged the setup to have the rear ARB a little lower than the front, and now it seems better... um, you don't really want to get too sideways or powerslide, because it costs you several tenths of a second. you really need to drive pretty darn clean to be fast in this sim. although you can through the car sideways all you want if you go into a corner where the car needs to slow down anyway:) They don't model tyre wear... so we can get away with this. Hope this helps, Grant.

I think that in the game you start out with a low horsepower Viper and work your way up to a car with more power so maybe the demo is the lower power Viper.

Yep sure can. In the Career mode you work your way up to a Viper GTS-R....700hp, better tyres, less weight. You can turn in 52's at Silverdale no problem. Then you can really use the throttle to get the backend around. Owen
