After changing the steering pot in my Thrustmaster wheel and a little
tweaking with camber and tire pressures, I've finally found the speed
and consistency to run with the big dogs at the Glen.
Qualified 2nd and was able to go 7 whole laps before loosing it trying
to pass for the lead going into The Loop.
I've seen a lot of frustration expressed here and I can relate. But this
sim requires more investment in both good equipment and the development
of personal ability than anything we've experienced so far...just as in
the real world of motor racing.
I haven't had so much fun with a racing sim since I punted Dale Earnhart
off turn one at the Glen and then went on to win a full length race in
Nascar2 (with AI at 100%).
Happiness is closing in on Jim Clark's gear box!
