I run a Pentium 166, 32mb with a Rendition V1000 card (Screamin' 3D). How does GPL run on this setup with a half dozen AI cars? Thanks, Jonathan Bishop Remove (nospam) from e-mail to reply

I have a P200, 64meg, same card .... it runs well enough for practice , but not great there ... I can't keep up with the AI so who knows about that<G> the starts are awful...4fps)
By yourself with details down: sluggish...With the # of AI you indicate: chop-chop-chop-chop...Overclock the sucker to at least 200 before doing hotlaps; change the chipset before expecting the fps to be smooth with AI on the track. Cheers! Marc

pretty slow, expect 10-15fps, upgrade if you want the real deal, just read all the posts from the past few days and you'll get it figured out. amd 300, 64ram, 8meg thriller
% I run a Pentium 166, 32mb with a Rendition V1000 card (Screamin' 3D). % How does GPL run on this setup with a half dozen AI cars? I would think that upgrading to a v2200 Rendtion should help quite a bit. I know that my v1000 is 1/3 slower than the Voodoo2 card I have. The reports of the v2200 vs. Voodoo2 usually show the Rendition when with the frame rate. -- **************************** Michael E.
