The BX boards run the PCI and AGP buses at 33MHz and 66Mhz respectively when using the 100MHz front side bus speed. - Eric
>On boards that support both 66 MHz and 100 MHz processors, is >there a separate multiplier for the 100 MHz mode that knocks >the PCI bus and AGP bus down to the same speed as 66 MHz mode? Exactly. At 100 MHz, the PCI bus is achieved by dividing by three instead of two. One problem could arise from your processor, though: some Intel CPUs don't allow using a lower multiplier. The celeron A is one example - you can run it at 4.5x66=300 (Intel's math, not mine :) or at 4.5x100=450 MHz, but you can't set it to, say, 3.5x100. -- Wolfgang Preiss \ E-mail copies of replies to this posting are welcome.
