I dunno.. I think we should let a couple of days..
There's soo many ways to meet online, that Im affraid people will be
spreaded. papyrus should had made a simple chat server or anything similar
just so we can exchange IP's... no need for IPX servers and so just a chat
place.
I mean.. presently there is :
#GPL IRC channel
ICQ
Kali
Kahn
Heat.net
Zone.com
The NROS (I saw some people exchanging IP's there)
I saw a guy who posted here
Another on the Gpl.gamestats board
Other places I didn't saw yet.
Cmon, any website please create some sort of Chat !!! We need a monopole so
everybody can meet at the same place at any hour. Just a simple chat !
- Fran?ois Mnard <ymenard> Good race at the Brickyard!
- Official Mentally retarded guy of r.a.s.
- Excuse me for my English (I'm French speaking)
- Sponsored by http://www.awpss.com/ on the NROS

a chat thingy via website? ick! that might work for a few people but
if you have more than a handful it will probably end up really sucking.
but of course, i'm an IRC fan :)
I was in kali last night looking for an oponent.

I have been using ICQ to connect with folks for online racing. I have
created a chat room, &GPL, which I plan to use as a general meeting
place for people who want to race GPL over the Internet. The ICQ ID for
&GPL is 19075344.
See you there sometime soon!

Based on the server requirements (24,000 bps per client) it sounds like
what we really need is a system of servers like Quake uses, and a gpl
version of GameSpy to find them.
