Backmarker behavior in F1RS2?

For anyone who has run the beta or who has tried the demo (not me; not using DirectX 6), I have a question about backmarker behavior. *By far* the biggest problem I have had with F1RS is that there are no blue flags for the *backmarkers*. They always race you as if you are both going for the Driver's Championship! Once you have caught them, you have to fight to overtake them just as hard as the frontrunners. So, I have not been able to tell from Rick Devente's description on www.f1racingsim.com of his experience with the beta, or from any postings about the demo, if this aspect of the AI has been implemented. Yes, I know that there will be blue flags for *us*, but do the AI cars also observe them? If yes, hooray...this is another step towards realism. Also, it would be great if UbiSoft also implemented a "teammate" aspect to the AI, so that your teammate might let you by more easily if you're overtaking him. But, I'd settle for the blue flag item above. ============================ Dave Mack (remove "nospamfor_" for correspondence)

Do the F1 rules state that if one is given the Blue Flag one MUST make way for the overtaking car? I thought this was just an advisoring warning to the backmarker.

The rules state that if a car passes three marshals posts which are waving blue flags and fails to move out of the way to let the faster car past then they are liable to be given a 10 second stop-go penalty. This applies (obviously) to traffic being lapped only. ;) Z.

I think there is a difference between the blue flags, if it's stationery it means there is a car close behind but if it is being waved it means there is a faster car trying to lap you. Also I'm not totally sure about the number of waving blue flags you pass (I think it's 2 or 3 waving blue flags?) without letting the guy trying to lap you past you can get black flagged, or face the stewards after race.
