I accidentally deleted Andretti racing off my Hard Disk, now I want it back
but I get a message saying there is already a version installed, how do I
delete the one thats installed, I can't see any reference to it on my
computer but could someone tell me where it might be so I can delete it.
Ta!!
Assuming that you are using windows I'd say there's probably some
reference left in the registry. To remove this reference do the
following:
- Go to start|run
- Type regedit and click ok
- Go to 'HKEY_CURRENTUSER\software' in regedit
- Find the entry of andretti racing (possibly in some subfolder named
after the creaters company).
- Delete this entry.
- Close regedit
Now you should be able to install it again.
Please make a backup of the registry first, since a mistake in the
registry could cause windows to crash. But then again... doesn't windows
always crash?
Good luck,
Johan.
