Can anyone help me out here.
I have (yeah I know it's c**p) on board graphics card on TX Pro II M/B
and Innovision Voodoo 4MB 3DFX card (alright, alright, we can't all
afford the best, besides it suits me).
Anyway, the problem is that I get "speckles" appear in the graphics (in
GPL it's on the wheels and the backdrop - occassionally the road
surface). I have seen it in Unreal but can flush the graphics engine to
clear it. I have been noticing it in most 3DFX games I have tried,
anyone know how to overcome this?
Thanks,
Craig.
Hi Craig,
I have had the same problem a while ago. After trying every possible
thing in software I replaced the voodoo card with one of my other pc's
(identical) voodoo card. That solved it! Conclusion -> The speckles were
a result of hardware failure. I went back the store and they replaced it
for me.
Of course it's possible that your speckles are caused by something else,
but if you have the opportunity I suggest you try an other card. It
helps a lot if you're in the store to get it replaced and you can say
that you plugged in an other card and that it worked.
Good luck with it,
Johan.
