Get the latest drivers for the card and make sure to disable 'Force
triple color buffering for Glide apps' in the advanced section of the
Voodoo2 display properties tab.

Hi, I have been using GPL-demo for some time now, its a very good sim
once you get the hang of driving without wings/down force and balancing
the throttle round the curves.... ;-)
I have a P200mmx, 64mb ram, 3Dxx-II, + a Matrox Mystique 2d/3d running
with W95. The game runs fine in the 3dfx sim/track screens, but in the
menu screen(s) there is a constant 'flashing' like a double image, + the
mouse (PS2) leaves a 'trail' that eventually obliterates the screen! I
have re-installed from the original zip file, but it made no
differance. Can any rocket scientists suggest a fix? Hopefully the
release version will not exhibit this failing.
Eric, you might be able to pass on advice here as to exactly *WHAT* (if
any!) of those "Advanced" boxes should be checked when using a Voodoo2
card?

problems with the others.

Ta.
Ditto here.

With the generic drivers I have the following checked -
Dont sync buffer ......
Force advanced TF for Glide apps
Disable SLI auto detect
Forcing triple colour buffering is a no no.

By "generic", you mean.......3DFX or those from your card
manufacturer???

Just while I think of it, I do get a little strange flashing whiteness about the front
wheels which is maybe due to the checking of the "don't synch buffer swaps to monitor
refresh....". However, I have read many times that running with this enabled drops the FR
a little, and the ill effects are so infrequent and negligible that I don't bother about
it.

*reduces* the number of frames per sec?

Eric
If checked, the frame rate DECREASES! :)

second is less which means it's slower.
For example, 30 frames per second DECREASED to 25 frames per second.
The result is a slow-down, whereas 30fps INCREASED to 35fps is a
speed-up.

Very good Bruce! Give yourself a pat on the back!
