RASF1?

Restarting the RASF1 league for the 2004 season

With the real F1 season opening, Darryl Johnson asked whether RASF1 would race Melbourne in F1 Challenge. Eldred agreed to host on Sundays at noon Eastern with the default 2002 season, since he could not get mods working on his server. Drivers swapped setups and advice on X-axis sensitivity and steering lock, and Eldred struggled with frame rate and control.

This being the weekend of the opening race of the F1 season (in the "real world"), is there to be a matching RASF1 race at Melbourne on Sunday? If so, are we still going to use the 2002 season? (I haven't bothered to D/L the 2003 season yet.) -- Darryl
I doubt that I will be able to make it this Sunday but I would really like to see RASF1 get going again. That was a lot of fun. "Darryl Johnson" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:JNM1c.17903$[email hidden]...

Yea, I'd like to see it get going again, I liked the one race I competed in even if I did have some problems. When did it happen? Sunday nights don't really work for me (7pm to 11pm est) but otherwise I'd be in. "Haqsau" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Hi Eldred: If you're going to be there I'll show up. Larry
Make any progress at Laguna Larry? I switched from the fwd alpha to the awd audi and I knocked off a few more secs. Seemed I had hit the .35 second wall. In the Audi a 35 is a bad lap :) Mitch "Larry Lindstrom" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:St32c.51033$PR3.1002260@attbi_s03...

In the Audi a 35 is a bad lap :) Hi Mitch: Thanks to your setup, I was able to break the 1:40 barrier. But my wall seems to be 1:39. Although I have driven with you on F1RST several times, I haven't practiced, which I always do online, as much as I'd like. My e-mail is screwed up right now. Can you post your Audi setup? I appreciate the assistance I've received from the RASETCC gang. Everyone sent me their setups. Setups for F1C are also appreciated. I'm driving a Ferrari. Larry

Hey, how do you run the ETCC mod offline? I *was* able to get it to install on my home machine, but I don't know how to run it. Using the ETCC Launcher select "run etcc". Once in the game (when you see the car spinning) then use the right left arrows to cycle through multi/testing/etc. Mitch "EldredP" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Hey, what axis sensitivity were you guys talking about? The only thing I saw was digital steering help, or something like that. I'm only getting 39fps, which is probably causing me problems, but I keep spinning exiting the turns. I'm scared to make any steering inputs, or step on the gas - the car keeps getting away from me... Click on the joystick icon, and then look to the left side of the screen and select the joystick 1 icon. X axis sensitivity is at the top. It's probably at 50% (default). Try lowering it to 30-35%. Also, if you're using my setup, remember to adjust the steering lock downward if the steering is still too twitchy. Turn circuit detail, player, pit crew animations, and other vehicle detail levels to low. Also, vehicle lighting effects to low. Turn broadcast overlays and movies off. All those things should help your fps. Are you using TC? Put it on high if needed.
