Hmm, thanks for your help. But what happens is, when i goto install the game, it wont let me select the 3dfx installations. So, i goto show all, and click on 3dfx ones, and it says my 3dfx card is needed (which its not). My card works fine, and in fact, i can even get the nessesary files to my h/d from the cd and run the 3dfx installation, but i cant install the patches and use f1rsrays then, so its no use. I looked on ubisoft's page, but couldnt find any info about not being able to select 3dfx installation when your 3dfx card is there and works fine. Any help would be appreciated to get this kickarse game going.

Try to install the INDEO drivers from the F1RS CD first. I had the problem that all of a sudden F1RS would not want to start in 3dfx mode.

This one again? and again, and AGAIN? 8-( To make sure that when you installed the game it recognised your 3Dfx card, when the game starts ensure that it runs the f1voo.exe file and no other file? Sometimes f1rs can move two important files during the istall process, and this means it cannot *see* your 3Dfx card? check your windows/system directory for Glide.dll & sst1init.dll. If they are there then fine, if they are not, copy them from your original f1rs cd to the windows/system directory and f1rs will now be able to see your 3Dfx card ok. Also make sure the UBI.INI file in your \windows\ubisoft directory is set to "3dfx=1" to get the 3Dfx version running. 8-) *Peter* 8-) (NB: remove asterix to e-mail)
It's not F1RS that moves these files, it's the later Glide drivers that don't have ss1init.dll. When are we going to stop getting messages on this subject?
