Hey all, After the misfortune of buying a Diamond Stealth 2 (since I won't upgrade to Win98 for two 2d/3d card support), I decided to buy a Diamond Monster 3D 1. Now I hope there is some Monster 3d users here to help me. Im not a PC twit, but <g> Im not a lucky man. First of all I have a pII 266 + STB Velocity 128 AGP. Ok, the physical installation goes without any problem. Same thing for when I load the PC, Plug&Pray see's the new video card, and installs the software from the CD-Rom. It installs the Drivers and all the normal stuff. Heck everything is going fine. Now they tell me that the card is all finished installed. They tell to launch "Mojo", a program in your C:/Windows/ that diagnose the card, if it has problems or not. No problem found, the program see the card, and all the files are ok. BUT... Each time I launch a 3dfx-based software, it doesn't want. Black screen. Nothing. Heck take per example Turokdemo. It goes to a Window interface where it _see_ the video card (3dfx card installed it is said). But whenever I launch the game, it's a black screen. Even the test screen program doesn't work. Note that the monitor is still active, and it's the screen who is black (not the monitor who goes into safe mode or shut's down). It's seems that I have no problem with the card, but whenever Glide is launched, it doesn't see the video card (and my normal 2d/3d RIVA card loads instead). Is this a common problem ? Note that I didn't touched anything in the autoexec.bat, so that may be that I need to write something in it. Can anyone help me _please_ ?? Free setup to anybody who helps me solve the problem. ;-) - Fran?ois Mnard <ymenard> Good race at the Brickyard, (-o-) - Official Mentally retarded guy of r.a.s. - Member of the r.a.s. So you are useing Monster 3d and STB 128 together, right ? OK, make sure u dont have openGL drivers for STB installed, if u dont have, get the DirectControl program from any 3dfx site, and turn STB 3d functions off ! I am sure it helps, if u have all and latest Monster 3d drivers installed ! TIlus
