Has anyone on r.a.s. tried the Directx 6 beta and found that the first
corner frame rate choppiness has been eliminated or at least greatly
reduced?

Where can i get the DX6 beta from?
Yes, on my PC (AMD K6-300, Viper 330, 64MB) the frame rate is noticeably
faster with directx6 as compared to directx5. In fact, it is really smooth
on a K6-233 where directx5 was almost undriveable at the race start.

I believe the beta is no longer available but I could be wrong. DirectX6 is
supposed to be released in July.
