Voodoo2 & GPL

2 posts by 2 people · 02 Jun 1998 - 03 Jun 1998

I've read that voodoo2 cards can go up to 1024x768 without z-buffer with 1 card and with z-buffer with 2 cards. Do 2 cards make any difference with the GPL demo? If not does anyone know if 2 cards will add anything to the full game? Cheers Tony

With a slow enough CPU, even a single Voodoo2 will render to the screen faster than the CPU can feed it. In that instance, a second Voodoo2 won't help. In the case of a real fast CPU spending time waiting for the Voodoo2 to draw frames to the screen, a second Voodoo2 will improve framerate. Trips
