Hi Im B 31 May 1998#409925
Chris, Although I use NT4, I haven't tried it (one of my workstations at the office--probably frowned upon, lol). If the sim is written fully in 32-bit code, it should run. If it contains any 16-bit windows code, forget it. DOS games probably would not run, since NT does not allow programs to access hardware (i.e.- graphic cards) directly, although character-based DOS apps run fine. Hopefully, someone else can give us all info on specific sims. Bob
Monster Truck Madness II (Trial) ran on Windows NT 4.0 w/ SP3. It ran fine, but not in D3D, would allow us to change the options, but would tell us they were unsupported. SLG (All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Gramatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers)

I used to run (during lunchtime of course) Monster Truck Madness before I got tired of it. I downloaded the MTM2 demo and it seems to run fine but I can't get NT to recognize my new steering wheel. I had no problems with my joystick. Have to do a little investigating... Garret

I got GP2 to run on my NT, Speed was not significantly lower than dos No sound of course Not all graphic adaptors worked. ATI failed, mystique and cirrus ok. I dont mean to be rude, but if you havent used NT, then why bother posting . . NT runs DOS programs in a box, giving them full access to screen, ports etc. In theory, most programs should run. In practice, a significant portion do. ps. A qoute: In theory, there should be no difference between theory and practice. In practice however, there is.
