All,
Recently whilst modem racing I have come across the following problem
perhaps someone can confirm or correct my deduction.
I have been modem racing with the same person for a couple of months
now with no problems until recently when we started getting "out of
sync". We can connect OK and go to the first race but once we try to
start another race the answering machine goes to the race start line
whist the dialler goes to a practice session. If you then drop to chat
the answerer can see what the dailler types you can see nothing in the
oppostite direction. It is as if the game has "lost" where we are.
Our deduction is that it is caused by the 3Dfx patch, if you use the
standard SVGA exe it is OK. I have been runninbg the Rendition version
all along. We have not changed modems or any other hardware.
Has anyone else come across this??? Just curious and a word of caution
