Thrustmaster Spring Problems

3 posts by 3 people · 25 May 1998 - 25 May 1998

After hearing about spring breakage in the Thrustmaster Nascar Pro wheel this has finally happened to me. My question is has anyone found a "quick fix" for this or do you just have to wait for parts from Thrustmaster. Really hate to have to use the keyboard for my league race this week...... A good tip is to have some spares in stock ;-) mfg a -- Mehr zu Satellitenempfang und Multimedia unter: http://www.atn.de Bei Fragen: -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen Andreas Partie Patrick Gilmore schrieb: -- Mehr zu Satellitenempfang und Multimedia unter: http://www.atn.de Bei Fragen: -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen Andreas Partie
Yes the following guy has some good advice. As soon as you buy a Thrustmaster product, email the support section or call them up and request some extra springs. On the other hand, I have a 1 inch 3 ring binder BEHIND my pedal unit. This keeps it from slipping away and the 1 inch height limits the travel of the pedals to about 50%. Now I know I loose some finesse by not having the full rang but I'm going on 14-15 months with the original pedal springs and have yet to break any. And since I'm running in the The Pits Touring Car Championship league, (TPTCC) we run road courses which require plenty of pedal mashings per lap. so I think I'm getting pretty good wear out of the springs by limiting their travel. dave henrie >After hearing about spring breakage in the Thrustmaster Nascar Pro wheel >this has finally happened to me.
