My buddy and I have been racing over the modem the last few months and I
have found a MAJOR bug. I usually call him and when the race starts I see a
car sitting on the start/ finish line. Plus during the race when I catch up
to the same car, I can't SEE him. I only know he is there because of the F2
screen. Somethimes I can't see TWO cars,but usually it is just the car
sitting on the start/ finish line. I know they are there because I hit
them.(naturally because I can't see them) and this usually causes a big pile
up. Please tell me someone out there knows of a fix or a cause of this
problem.

Make sure that the two of you have the same number of cars set in your
track.txt files. A friend and I had the same type of problem when he had
the number of cars set to 40 and I had mine at the default.
Because or phone billing, I'm always the dialer too. We went through the
track text files and made sure we had the same number of cars at every
track. It happened again at one of the super speedways (Atlanta I think),
so in the race options panel my opponent set the number of cars to 38, and
that fixed it.
