I increased the "number of sounds" slider in options ,this had the effect of
cutting out the engine sound.Leave the setting on 4 and it seems to be ok!

I'm having a problem with GPL. It installed fine, tested my system and
verified that my SB 32 AWE would play .wav files in WIN 95. The game all
works (i.e joystick calibratesfine, I can also hear the announcer at the
beginning of a practice session, and sound effects when I crash, but....NO
engine sound while playing the demo!) But, I do have engine sounds during
the replay for some strange reason. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
