I've had a lot going on lately and really wasn't even paying attention to the GPL demo posts until today. Downloaded the demo in 48 minutes and installed flawlessly. I'm running my brand new: Pii-333mhz, 128mb ram, 21" Monitor, 8mb PCI Thriller, and Thrustmaster NASCAR Pro Racing Wheel & Pedals. Well, I set the graphics to 800x600 with all graphics ON and MAX'd. Jumped behind the wheel of this "open wheeler" and took off. oh my. It's as smooth and clean as a sim should be. If its going to get better with the full version (anyone know when that hits?) and then the same (if not better) N3 product. This is a huge jump in the sim business. Some things that didn't come natural :) 1) the use of a "neutral" gear as well as "reverse" in the shifting sequence. The flipping car and suspension responses are incredible. Smooth and very real. What a brilliant demo. The wheel calibration went quickly & smoothly. Ok, just wanted to sound off on my success with the demo. WELL worth the time to download. Andrew B.
