Once again, we have reached that time of year where the lame-asses think its funny to post stupid April Fool's posts. Some of them will be obvious posts like "Grand Prix Legends 2 is coming!" to other less-obvious posts... Just beware, its that time of year again where we all roll our eyes in disgust while the keyboard jockies think up some lame stories for us again.
I do not know which is worse.. the fact that they post them or the fact that they think they will actually get people to fall for them "Buck411" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:%DGac.380810$[email hidden]... > Once again, we have reached that time of year where the lame-asses thinkits > funny to post stupid April Fool's posts. But I read it on the internet, so it must be true. :) -- See ya in the pits, Dean I have a terrible memory. In fact my memory's so bad I can't remember how long it's been since I've forgotten anything. I never knew about it. -- Ped Xing

I don't see why you have to be insulting about it. Hey, it breaks up the monotony - no harm done. I was actually referring to the time-honored RAS tradition, which knows no national boundaries. Hang around here long enough and you'll come to appreciate the likes of April Fools' Day. Embrace the oddities of all nations, that's my motto... ;-) Heck, I'd never heard of Boxing Day until seeing it here on RAS. So what's with Innocent's Day anyway; same as April Fools', more or less? Yes, more or less... though originally it commemorated the massacre of innocent children by Herod, nowadays it's usual to play pranks (called "inocentadas") on unsuspecting people. -- __________ ____---____ Marco Antonio Checa Funcke \_________D /-/---_----' Santiago de Surco, Lima, Peru _H__/_/ http://machf.tripod.com '-_____|( remove the "no_me_j." and "sons.of." parts before replying

That story of Herod killing children is most likely BS propaganda anyway.

p.s. Just for you, ya dumb fuck. Did Matthew Fabricate the Account of Herod’s Slaughter of the Bethlehem Infants? by Wayne Jackson Christian Courier: Questions Tuesday, April 22, 2003 The apostle Matthew records that the king, Herod the Great, murdered baby boys in Bethlehem in an attempt to eliminate the Christ child. Was the story merely contrived by Matthew? Why does Josephus not mention it? Wayne Jackson discusses the credibility of Matthew’s record of this event. “In Matthew’s Gospel, there is the account of where king Herod killed the baby boys of Bethlehem, two years old and younger, in an attempt to eliminate the infant Jesus (Mt. 2:16). Since this was such a brutal event, why does history not record the horrible massacre? Skeptics say that this indicates the fictional nature of the New Testament.”
