Well, it's true, the patch is available at http://www.op3dfx.com although in the install program is says 'Beta'. Everything installed fine, although I did have to do that thing it says in the 'readme3d.txt' file where if you use a Pure3D you have to copy that GLIDE2X.OVL file from the Pure3D cd-rom to the Nascar2 directory. I also found no documentation about the GNS3DFX.BAT and .EXE files, but easily assumed they were for if you have the Grand National Pack installed. After doing those 2 things, the game ran fine. The actual racing gameplay is better, framerates especially, and the opponents cars are beautiful. The background scenery seems to be softened too much maybe? Judge for yourself I guess. Hopefully someone will come up with some graphically optimized settings and framerate optimized settings for those values shown in the readme3d.txt file. No time to take screenshots, I'm goin' racin'! hehe -- -Jeff "Who needs tech support when you can fix it yourself!!"
