Hello,
I have just finished a project on my N2 Pontiac that those of
you who paint cars/sets may be interested in.
To view a sample go to:

and check out the #97 car on the right side of the page there.
What I have done is to do a rather extensive rebuild of the nose piece
and some body edging details so that when N2 loads the image it looks
as relisticly like an actual Nascar Pontiac as I could make it, ie:
the headlights no longer get extra tall and the grills and emblem are
resized for correct looking scaling in relation to the headlights.
Also redesigned the hood pins so they load to look like the pin loops
are taped down like many of the teams do for real.
I plan during the next week to start making blank templates of this
design in base colors of red, white, blue, green, yellow, and black. I
will do other colors by request *after* those are ready as I will be
making them into zip files which will include a shot from the
underbody part of paintkit that will show correct color match shading
of the underbody to template so paintjob will look right trim wise.
If any of you like the look and want to use it let me know and I'll
mail it to you once they are completed. All I ask is that if you are
building carsets and use this is that a small mention be made in your
text files of where the basecoat came from <G>.
Also, if you can't or don't have time to see the car on the page email
me and I can send some sample shots of how it turned out.
Thanks
Ron
