Ubisoft F1RS and Psygnosis Formula 1 requirements and screen shots look
simular. Are these the same game or are there differences. Psygnosis
comes with the ATI All in Wonder Pro and Ubisoft F1RS is widely

1) Don't buy Psygnosis Formula 1 is you want a serious SimRacing title
2) F1RS is a new title made by UbiSoft, and is the third serious SimRacing
Formula1 title, after World Circuit and Grand Prix2
3) You answered your own question by saying that each game is made by
different companies.
4) It's a night and day difference as F1RS is a serious Racing title and Psy
F1 is a pure Arcade racing genre.

Psygnosis F1! The only place you'll find that is in trashcans! F1RS, now
that is a different matter!

Both are trying to reproduce some sort of Formula One experience for
the PC. And that is about where the similarity ends. Psygnosis F1 is
a port from the SegaCD I believe. In many ways it is an OK game
if there is nothing else going on. UBIsoft F1 is a real racing simulator
(BTW, you can get the same views as Psygnosis F1 in UBIsoft F1).
UBIsoft F1RS is the real deal if you have a 3dfx card.

The answer is:
- if you like serious sims like F1GP, GP2, NASCAR, Indycar, then buy F1RS and
DON'T by Psygnosis F1
- if you like games like Screamer, Sega Rally, Monster Truck Madness.. then buy
Psygnosis F1 OR F1RS
It's simple as that.

No, you're wrong. Its a carried over from Playstation version. There
are 2 Formula One sims for the Playstation. Formula One (which is out
on the PC) and Formula One: Championship Edition (or Formula One '97
in Europe), which is NOT out yet for the PC, but is due out this
month.
You'll be able to read my review of F1RS on Digital Sports in the next
day or two as I've already submitted it. F1:CE will be out in a few
weeks, and my review for that one will be out soon as well. But you
are right in that the product goals differ somewhat.

Yeah they are all sims. They might be good sims or bad sims, but they
are still sims :)
