I76 gold edition

Has anyone tried the I76 gold edition upgrade? Its a free download to users who have the full version. The file is like 85MBs for 3dfx version. I have the full version but could never really get into the game. I was wondering if it was worth the download. Can some1 provide some reviews? BTW does any of the PC *** mags have the upgrade on their CD by chance?

Go to 3dfx.game.discussion for reviews from those whom downloaded the patch. There's a demo at Avault that is patched. It includes one old mission and one new mission. The demo looks pretty good. I'll wait until there's less traffic before downloading the huge patch. ;-) It would be nice if the patch were to be including on one of the PC *** mags CDs. Oh well, I'll see how reliable and fast my new cable modem is. Later, Rich
