Installing F1RS patch?

5 posts by 5 people · 22 Feb 1998 - 27 Feb 1998

Racers, this may seem like an awfully dumb question, but how do you install the F1RS patch ver7. I downloaded two different copies and when I click on the executable file it says "Program cannot run in DOS." Well, that's great except I'm not in DOS, but in Win95 Explorer. For grins I tried it in DOS also. I also did not see any sort of readme file so I figured it couldn't be too tough. What's up with the patch? Please respond by e-mial and the group, my news server seems to be missing some of the messages. Thanks, all the best, Mike -- Michael S. Hi Mike, Download it again from the French server...Many have complained with a similar problem, but the one I downloaded worked like a charm. Cheers! Marc

Extract the patch to a temp directory, and run VOOPATCH. Simple as that!

I had the same problem myself, so I downloaded it from a different site and it worked then.
