It sounds fun (with the exception of wipers), BUT-- would you be willing to pay $100.00+ for the game. How about hard drive space... prob. a gig or better. AND what processor could handle it all and keep it running smooth-- a 600mhz. How about a 10 meg 3d video. Not trying to***you off-- you have a dream. But the reality of it all is that current technology and costs don't jive on this. Maybe in 5-10 years. But who knows by then the sims may look and act like they do on ESPN. Keep it fast and tight...opps thats for a different newsgroup-- Fast laps in '98 R. Faust aka Xducer
Some of them are downright d-uh request. More realism? Better AI? -- <<Phoenix>> "We'll find out when we die." Don't worry. I just got these Ideas sent to me so far. I haven't looked at the ideas myself because I am non stop working on the program. And I know some are silly, But if one idea falls out, maybe a different misc idea will go in. So I am hoping for the best. And I should have the first version of the Program out the First week in March. That'll be when I'll have everything perfected hopefull with my site. Just please, keep on sending ideas for the program or n3. -- Sincerely, Mark F. Got a Racing site on the Web? Want to promote or Join a Network? % Better?????? % I suspect that people who mention rain tires and wipers know nothing % about the Papy Nascar series...... % It is a simulator, NOT an arcade game, people who want rain tires % should stick to CART and INDY.... % NASCAR does not run in the rain, they don't use rain tires, they don't % need wipers, SO WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT THAT IN THE GAME????? % SHHHEESSSHHH!?!?!?!?!? It also sounds as if some people haven't been following the "real" NASCAR series. While the race last year in Japan was not an "official" Winston Cup race, it was a sanctioned NASCAR series race. And guess what? They qualified for the race with rain tires and windshield wipers and even tail lights! Had it rainded the day of the race the race would have been held with rain tires, wipers, and tail lights. I would hope that N3 would at least be modeled after the 1998 season. Maybe this would be the perfect opportunity for Papy to test rainy conditions in a racing sim. -- **************************** Michael E. I think what, in his own way, he was trying to say was that NASCAR doesn't use windshield wipers, nor do they use rain tires. -- -Kev nxs.net is my domain and kf-lan is my name. > What crap?
