Where Is English Demo of F1RS?

The only place I found with the english F1RS demo is at http://www.f1racingsim.com/ (30mb) and ended up with a CRC error. Grrrr! At www.avault.com all I can find is the old french version. Me Too! Seriously, I also downloaded the Englis F1RS demo form f1racingsim. I did not get a CRC error but do get the message "A required .DLL file, DINPUT.DLL was not found". Is this from a bad download? Has anyone run this demo? If I new which file the DINPUT.DLL was in I would download it again. Thanks Jay

I've got the English demo in one big file from when it first came out. I will be willing to post it on my web site for a day, I'm only allowed 10mb and have that now, so when I add this 27mb demo, I'm sure they're going to be pissed if they find it. Anyway, if there is enough interest, I'll post it say, Friday, and try to let it stay through Saturday. Let me know. Craig Marcho

I think that's a dll file that comes with directx. It's for your joystick etc. It should be in the windows/system directory. It is on my machine. Don't you have directx installed? -- Nos http://www.cris.com/~nosfer/index.html

But, won't the server recognize that you are uploading more than 10mb? My server only allows me to send 1mb through email and it won't send a file if it's larger. If you can do it though I sure would appreciate it. -- Nos http://www.cris.com/~nosfer/index.html

Hi, I just Dled the english Demo of F1rs to see if it was any different with the new STB drivers. I had no problems with the DLL you mention the demo ran. I've uploaded it once before for one person, then promptly deleted it. I did get an email once from my ISP telling me that I needed to get under the allocated amount or they would delete my entire site! I can upload it no problem, how long it can stay is another matter! I'll send it today, and post the address in this n.g. after it's there, so keep your eye out for a new post from me, I'll make the subject very clear! Craig
