Nascar 2 problems

4 posts by 3 people · 05 Jan 1998 - 10 Jan 1998

Hi everybody, I faced a very strange problem. I was racing at Dover Downs, and after the secong pit-stop, the classification just went crazy. I was in first, Gordon in secong about 15 s behind. After him, we got three cars TWO laps down, then 5 cars ONE lap down, and then the rest starts from two to more laps down (seems OK). Somebody saw this before? I am using the Nascar 2 version 1.03 (non BGN version). Regards Roberto Brazil

Cycle the pit radio ON/OFF (F2 F2) or toggle it to on-track intervals and back (Enter Enter) If it was still in "race position" mode and showing what you said, it sounds like a bug. Did you finish the race, and if so, how was the scoring presented in the final standings? ---Jim
Jim (and everyone else) This one is more than likely a bug. In the IGN series we encountered this problem at several tracks if we had set the track files to allow a certain sized field, or had a certain # of cars in our car set. It always happened after a major pit-stop. Apparently at least one car may have been pitting on the s/f line or something similar, and then things just went haywire. I don't remember our exact tracks or field sizes, but I'm sure with some discussion with some of our memebers, we could recall the numbers and tracks we had problems with. Yes, I did finish the race and it just kept the positions. It was quite funny to have cars with fewer laps getting a better position and more points. After Dover, it happened in other tracks again, most of the times after BIG pits, or, lot of cars going in and out of the pits at the same time. It seems like a bug. Does anyone knows if this happens with the new Nascar 2 BGN version? Roberto >Jim (and everyone else) >This one is more than likely a bug.
