Header kinda says it all. I read in the manual to put your
setup files that you have d/l in the F1datab/saved path. After d/l,
unzipping then placing that file in that path, I still cant get to the
car setup from within the garage/load setups tab with in the game. Am I
missing something here?
Thanks for your imput,

it working so all is good.
Thanks again!

Aloha, MikeHello Richard, I did get my copy from Ubisoft, played it safe rather
than getting it from Interact. As far as patches go, I really cant tell if
there are the new patches in my version but I did read a message from Ubisoft
claiming that there was a little more attention payed to the US version than
the UK version. Assuming patches etc...... I don't have a problem with the
auto/manual part of the transmission with my version. As far as replays go,
they are really jerky and have no sound. The next patch from Ubisoft will
correct this. The game flys along on my P200/Monster3D/32megs system. If
anyone need some info on fixing the 1st lap jerkyness than leave a message
hear or e me. I've gathered some great tips that fix this impossible
situation ;)
Check your shorts!

race as I always crash on the first corner, leaving me so far behind I can
never catch up.
If
There are 4 different scenerios that make the game much faster, they are :
1. Goto your f1rs/cpa/dll/Snd cna.ini file and look for SXD DIST SATUR=5 and
SXD DIST FADE=75
2. Change the SATUR=5 to =1 then change the FADE=75 to =15
(This will lower the distance and number of competitors you can hear,
hence increasing framerate)
3. Goto your Control Panel/System/Performance(TAB). Now click Virtual Memory
box.
Now choose the "let me specify my own virtual memory" option.
Then change the Minimum setting to 126 and the Maximum to 128
4. Turn replays "off"
5. Turn sky "off" (The clouds go by so fast, it's notious!)
I think that covers it. If I've left something out folks, let it be heard.
With these changes the game "FLYS" on my P200/Monster3d/32meg system
BTW- if you pick the view in the game, where you see just your nosecone and
wheels instead of the***pit, the framerate goes up considerably also.
Hope this helps
