8 posts by 6 people · 19 Dec 1997 - 22 Dec 1997

Well its about 10am here in the states and I just got off the phone with Ubi and they said that they still havent recieved their orders via UPS. The salesperson said that they should be expecting F1 towards the ladder part of the day. All of the the pre-ordered F1 software will be shipped 2nd day air to all that have pre-ordered F1 from UbiSoft is was told.. So heres what I'm wondering, how many people that are here on r.a.s. OR 3dfx Discussion have actually pre-ordered their copys from UbiSoft? Maybe it would be a good idea for EVERYONE that has, just post here in this thread and say hi! It would be nice to know just exactly how many people are out there that just read the group and are into F1 that never post. So, even if your a "surfer" here in this newsgroup, and have a pre-order than just post and say "hello" ;) Just a thought........................ Tony Gaylord - Portland, OR Home of the C.A.R.T. I didn't preorder F1 RS from UbiSoft but i did received it from InteractCD yesterday and their service was excellent. JD
blah, blah, I haven't received F1RS from UbiSoft yet, blah, blah, blah... Hello, Tony.;-) I'm the original poster of the message F1RS in US!!! I got the first copy of F1RS from Interact a couple weeks ago. It's only a couple miles from work so I picked it up soon after they opened. Sure, it's the UK version and the US version may have the bugs worked out. Needless to say, I've been having a blast for the past couple weeks as it's a terrific game! Please post your ideas on the US version of F1RS. I'd like to see if they've worked out the bugs. Oh yeah, I went to Interact this morning to pick up the Splat Pack and found a used CD of CPR for $30. I wasn't going to buy this game until after they released the "patch" but for $30, I figured "what the heck." Later, Buddha

I'm waiting, also in Portland. Larry
Hey Budda, I held out from ordering from Interact because the sales rep for Interact couldn't tell me if it was an english copy or what. Which I thought was strange from a rep. Oh well, Needless to say, I held out and just played it safe(maybe to safe ;). I'll post my feelings along with the rest of the US when I recieve my copy, hopefully on Tuesday. By the way, what sort of bugs have you found in your UK version? I think I'll be buying CPR 'again' after I hear some promising things on the patch. Keepin' fingers crossed Tony Gaylord

I got F1RS from InteractCD also. It was back-ordered but they shipped it promptly on the date they promised. Now if I can just get my hands on a 3Dfx card... Alison

Tony, Where did you pre-order your copy of F1RS? I've been watching the Ubishop web site and all it says is "taking pre-orders soon". Am I missing something or did you order it another way? Thanks for your help
I pre-ordered about a month ago or so from Ubi. As a matter of fact, I just got my tracking number from Ubisoft and the package is at the Portland airport. I'm not waiting untill tommorow for the delivery from Airborne, Im picking it up from customer pickup in about an hour............ OOOOooohhhhhh Joy! (ps all of the pre's went out this past friday ;)
