^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Actually, I created that one too. Search for alt.config and ballim on dejanews (old database)... Subject: cmsg newgroup alt.binaries.simulators.autos Date: 1995/12/21 Newsgroups: alt.config,rec.autos.simulators [More Headers] After discussion on alt.config which came to a unanimous supporting consensus, alt.binaries.simulators.autos is created for the purpose of transmitting auto simulator related binaries which have lately been appearing on rec.autos.simulators. For your newsgroup file: alt.binaries.simulators.autos Automotive simulator related binaries -- Theoretical Comp. Sci. Gosh, fame at last. If anyone actually cares, I came up with the idea for RAS when the WCF1GP mailing list that I had been running became too much of a burden on the University of Geneva mail server. Of course, it never would have happened without the support and advice of the couple of hundred avid pre-RASers who made that mailing list what it was, and showed that a newsgroup was really called for. -- Afzal Ballim - Advanced Communication Environments (ACE) Research Group LITH-EPFL, IN Ecublens, CH-1015 Lausanne (Switzerland) Voice: (+41 21) 693 52 34 | fax: (+41 21) 693 52 78

Oh God! Maybe I'm going to start ego tripping. Help, help, I think I'm turning into ymenard. ... It's okay, I had a lie down and I've got my perspective back. Now I remember why I make it a rule never to post to r.a.s. unless I really, really, have something to say. P.S. I didn't "create" r.a.s. - a.b.s.a yes, r.a.s no - I was just the catalyst. -- Afzal Ballim - Advanced Communication Environments (ACE) Research Group LITH-EPFL, IN Ecublens, CH-1015 Lausanne (Switzerland) Voice: (+41 21) 693 52 34 | fax: (+41 21) 693 52 78
