>You can get it from >[link lost in import] I just downloaded the Direct3D version of the patch and I'd like someone else out there to verify something for me: 1) Apply the patch 2) Start the game 3) Go to Monaco 4) Set it for Demonstration and start it. Does it complete 2 laps without locking up?? Most of the time it doesn't even complete one full lap before it locks up *** my PC and I have to reboot. The same is true for Interlagos. I know I am running the patched version because the mirrors work. This is one of the things the patch was to fix. Once I uninstalled the game and reinstalled from the CD, the game did not lock up. I let it run for 10 laps at both tracks without a hitch! Please let me know if anyone else has this problem.

I've isolated it further. It seems that the lockups occur only when the mirrors are turned on. Prior to this patch, the mirrors never worked in Direct3d version of the game. This patch enabled the mirrors, but the game locks up hard with them turned on after a lap or two. It doesn't matter how many other graphic options are turned off. If the mirrors are on, it locks. Also, during the moments prior to the lockups, the mirrors were periodically flickering with a blue color. Has anyone noticed this flickering with the 3dfx version of the game? Thanks, Frank

I locked up on lap 2 at Spa post-patch, but the F4 key no longer results in a crash, and I can view replays with no problem. Randy Randy Magruder Staff Writer Digital Sportspage http://www.digitalsports.com/
