Thought folks might be interested in the following info from Ubisoft's tech
support today...
Apparently there are to be 2 patches:
The first (for release Wed) is mainly a 'bug-fix' to make the game
compatible with a wider range of video cards.
The second (they say 'hopefully before Xmas') will provide the support for
Force Feedback and hardware accelerated replay mode. I gather the latter
will please a number of folks on these newsgroups but for the life of me I
can never figure out why anyone would watch themselves going round when they
could be having another go! JMHO :?)
Also, they say they are willing to listen to player feedback and try and
incorporate other things into the second patch.
I've already asked them to enable us to mix the ability levels in
multiplayer mode (I'd like my 8 year old son to be able to race in 'easy'
mode whilst I use realistic) and to enable the different weather settings in
easy mode. Hey, but I'm sure the more time they get asked for the same thing
the more chance it has of being implemented so e-mail these and any other
suggestions to...
