CPR Skipping

I just bought CPR and when I am playing the game. The screen will skip and mess me up. It does this in all graphics modes. Also, when I am playing the game on the hardware accelorator option there is some "static" on the screen while I am driving. I have a Gateway 2000 233mhz, PII, and a 4meg graphics card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Which type of video card?
