Yep, got the sim today.
Installed it, which was a breeze. Click around, and install the recommended
medium install.
Fire up the game on automatic.
Shit. No Joystick yet. Okay, check joystick.
CRAP, this is WAY too sensitive. Toggle down the sensitivity. MUCH better.
Okay, drive a simple free run on Hockenheim.
OH MAN, I'm ***again, like I was beginning GP2. Right, to the garage.
Uhm... front wing 13 rear wing 1, brakes 60% on the front, gears.....
damn.... that's different than GP-2. Ah well, on the eye so it looks good.
Right, we're off again. VROOOAAARRRRR, spin spin spin.
What the ?!?!?!?
Back to the garage. Pick up the manual and follow those recommendations. Ah,
increase rear-wing to counter oversteer. Right, rear wing 4, front wing
hmm... 10?
And we go again onto the tarmac and JEESSH, I've got UNDER steer in
everycorner, and a ***gearbox, can't even reach fifth gear.
This is going to be difficult.
Okay okay, back to square 1. Easy mode, no fancy settings, just the "I'm no
good" settings.
Okay, LEt's go to Spa. I heard about Eau Rouge that it was breathtaking.
Single race, full grid, me on spot 22. So 21 cars in front of me.
"Okay, that's going to be that slide-show everyone talks about...."
VROOOOAAAAAARRRRRR.
"WAAAAAAHHHH, this is awesome, this is phantastic, this is..... Jezus Christ
what a hole in the circuit!!!!"
After 4 laps the race ended and I was 10 seconds behind Badoer.... and
driving a Williams....
Anyway, being quite impressed by the performance of F1RS I took the
challenge:
MONACO!
"Right... got to be a slide show."
And the lights are off. VROOOAAAAARRRRRR.
"What the heck were those people saying? This is absolute top-notch FPS."
Followed by:
"Oh MY GOD, how am I ever going to drive through THAT narrow a circuit."
Made me think Monaco from GP2 was VERY WIDE circuitry.
I think it's quite clear, I'm overwhelmed by the performance of this
program. Nowhere did I see any glitch or stutters, even when I made a nice
jump into the air after running over the cars in front of me.
I can easily gain 6 to 9 places on an easy start.
Realistic mode is something VERY different. The option in the setup screen
are very challenging.
I'll be happy to race this one into eternity, or until something better pops
up, but that's going to be a long time coming.

Hi,
Anybody still have the "F1voo page fault bug" at the end of a race ???
After being sure that replay is unset, if i drive a race for 100% but saving
and reloading several times, i'm not able to end the race, because after the
end of the race instead of going back to the"next Gp" panel, i've got a nice
F1voo page fault ... As UBI didn't answer my mail, i need help from u
guys... because i want to know if i'm the only one ?
