Cart has flickering with Stingray

Anyone else have flickering graphics at lower part of screen with a Stingray using 3D Hardware and smoothing on in CPR? Stuart

I have a Jazz Adrenaline Rush card and also get the dam flicker. Mine has the voodoo Rush chipset and I understand this is a problem with all voodoo Rush cards. I think yours is a VooDoo Rush card has well. This problem should go away when the Glide patch comes out. Later, Stuart J. I have the problem in my Voodoo rush card too. What is this Glide Patch ? Maybe there is hope for this program yet!!!!! :)

On Thu, 27 Nov 1997 17:14:34 -0800, "Stuart J. Boyle" Did anyone get it when using the demo? I have the demo (the game isnt out here yet) and it runs pefectly on my Stingray (6mb duaghterboard setup, 1.17 drivers and no overclocking, 200MMX, 32mb SDRAM, TX m/b)

The demo and full version use exactly the same display code. You have the latest drivers - that's why there is no flicker in the demo - nor will there be on the full version. Until the others get updated drivers they may still see this problem. It is a video card driver problem - not a CPR problem. We are in the hands of the OEM for these issues. Unfortunately.

The nVida chipset resident on the STB Velocity 128 card also has the flicker problem. Since this is being reported on other cards too, I am inclined to think it's another undocumented feature (read: bug). Proof positive that one should never, EVER buy version x.0 of ANYTHING from MS. <G>

it is a driver bug. You have to download the latest drivers (if available) from the hardware vendor. I had the flicker with the Viper 330. I downloaded their latest driver and the flicker is gone.
