CPR 2nd try

2 posts by 2 people · 24 Nov 1997 - 29 Nov 1997

I just increased my RAM from16MB to 48 MB and installed a Monster 3D accelerator card to go along with my Diamond 3D 3000 graphics card. The difference in playing the demo was like night and day. The frame rates stayed constant,so the choppyness and periodically stopping of my car totally disappeared. Now that I know that CPR will run on my P166. I'm still going to wait and see what the patch does and doesn't do. BTW,with all the talk lately about the Voodoo2,the Monster 3D has 3Dfx Voodoo graphics. Joel Willstien

Its the best $170 I ever spent on my system. BTW, I'm not sure what you were trying to say in your last sentence (see above)... But the Diamond Monster 3d is a Voodoo card -- it doesn't have the new voodoo 2 chipset which won't be out until March ... Doug
