Tips for short tracks? Martinsville.

Heh... need some practice, then... Mr. France'll be knockin' on your door in the morning... ;-) More seriously, I set my gearing so that on an initial start/restart, I get to third and take that through one and two, and then kick it up to high coming off the turn. M'ville is slow enough that you should be able to set up fourth to be short enough to keep the apex at 65 mph or so and in the 5500-6200 peak torque band, while still not going above about 9000-9200 rpm at the end of the straight... (Now, if you convert it to ICR2... you're gonna wear out the shift lever on your T2... I shift *20* times per lap... ;-) Nope, consider yourself lucky... RM

Hey Folks, well I'm trying to make the mive to short tracks and I've been working on Martinsville. I even managed to win a race with the no damage on (there were no cars left at the end <g>) Anyway, I was wondering what people do with the shifting/gears sequence/ratios. Do brakes wear out in N1? Brakes don't wear out on N1.
