>Make sure you got the latest drivers for your card and check to see if >the display driver in the graphix setup is the 3Dfx Interactive Direct >X driver. I can't find anywhere to explicitly select a 3dfx driver. Joe

>I can't find anywhere to explicitly select a 3dfx driver. Found it. Note that you can also select Meduim resolution (i.e., 512x384) which gives a nice frame-rate boost without really affecting graphical quality. I'm pretty happy with the graphics and frame-rate now. Joe

i was on the second, not the primary. so i did have it right :) but it will not work, so i deleted it. ss
you have to be under "device 2"(which means secondary video card, 3dfx,look at the botton legend) on graphics setup. Not as fluid as if it was native (glide)3dfx,but highly playable and fun.Maybe they fix it later Rafael P166 monster 3d 32ram

With Medium res and High detail I'm now satisfied with both the frame-rate and graphical quality (P200 w/3dfx). I'm pretty sure I'll buy this one, it's a lot of fun to drive. I really like the weather affects, both graphically and surface-wise. It's a rush to use the rainy track to bump a car on a curve and knock them into a sand trap! Joe

JOe, I got word back from Codemasters that it will be a while until TOCA comes to the USA/Canada due to lack of distribution/license ... BUT, they are willing to ship direct from the UK ... Here is the word I got: ======================= Subject: Re: TOCA demo Date: 21 Nov 1997 09:55:32 -0500 From: To: Doug Burg Dear Doug Thank you for your email. The 3Dfx is supported natively. Do you have a 3Dfx card? If so, do you know what Chipset it uses? If you are after the finish product then I'm afraid you will not be able to find it in the US as we have not acquired a licence yet. It may take a few months until we do so we urge you to wait until then. However, if you are desperate in obtaining a copy, then if you cantact us 3 - 4 weeks after launch (28th November) then we will be able to ship you a copy. Thank you.
