After deselecting the poll interrupt options in the joystick control panel,
I found my frame rates increased and more consistent. With the***pit
turned on I am getting around 15-17 FPS and with it off I get 20-25. Also,
I found the steering less sensitive. Personally I liked the sensitive
steering but I will sacrifice it for the gain in FPS.
I am curious if this will help other systems...most likely it varies but I
hope some people post their results.
