TestDrive4 Impressions

Not very impressed by this demo. On a P200 with 48MB it feels very similar to NFS2. It plays too fast and the car physics aren't particularly good. Cars that are supposed to do 0 to 60 in 5 seconds do it a lot quicker than that and they don't even have a functional tach. I downloaded the regular demo (unplayable) and the 3DFX demo (much better, but still not much fun) and I think its safe to say I won't be buying this one. Why is it that a game that is 2 years old (NFS) is far and away superior to anything that comes out now. The cars in that game all feel and sound different like they should. I would be very satisfied if EA would take NFS and add about 6 new tracks (at least 3 of which included segments) and re-release it with 3DFX support.

I have one word for you -- ACCOLADE -- I haven't been impressed with much of their stuff lately ... Did you try their JOKE of a Monster Truck game -- I returned it the SAME DAY I bought it. What a piece of ***that was ...
