Hello NG, I have a problem with Grand Prix 3 (Yes it's a three): from time to time, circa once in 5 minutes, my keyboard refuses to work for nearly ten seconds. I can't break, steer, shift, pause, switch helping-F-keys or sth else. Therefore, of course, i crush into opponents, walls, etc. There is no such effect in any other application running on my pc. I updated to v1.13 but it got no better. What can I do now to get that keyboard work the whole race without cutting the race length to one percent? please send a copy of your response to [email hidden] Thanks in advance Lukas

Wow - that's the first time I've heard of a problem like that. Does it also do it if you're lapping alone? If not, maybe you're over-stressing your video card? Having more cars on the track may be hitting the limit on the card... That's all I can think of at the moment. I think he's mistaking the odd timing system that the GP programs use. Essentially, if your system cannot maintain a preset fps, then the program slows down your framerate until the system can catch back up. So when the program displays a fastlap time or current leaderboard graphic, that overloads the system and GP3 brings things to an almost complete halt. It's not that his keyboard has ceased responding, it's more like the program has slowed down to a crawl so that any keyboard input will not pass completely through the sim for many many seconds. The only cure I know of is to lower your video thresholds. If your system can barely maintain 25fps at 1080x720, then drop down one or two screen sizes to free up your cpu resources. dave henrie
