On many setups even great ones the first couple laps have to be handled with
care. Give the tires time to get some heat in them. I have several setups
that will blow away thefield in N1 but-- it takes sometimes 5-10 laps before
the setup comes in. Do you watch Winston Cup racing on TV. It will teach you
a lot too!
