BGN Track Pack Problems

4 posts by 3 people · 05 Nov 1997 - 07 Nov 1997

I've just purchased the BGN track pack and am having frame rate problems. For some reason it it SUPER choppy around the pit area when I'm running in W95. It was not nearly as bad in W95 before. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, the game runs MUCH smoother in DOS however, ever since I got the sim I get strange lock-ups at random times while racing in DOS (VERY FRUSTRATING)! Any suggestions? Chris

Chris, you need to supply a lot more info if you want help :) sounds like a possible hardware problem, what is your machine, video card etc, etc. Trev

I'm running a regular Intel P200 with 32 megs, a Screamin 3D card and I have all the latest patches installed. Help! Chris
Hey Chris, I'm running a P200 with Sierra 3D video card and 64 megs of mem. and I had the same problem. I use the renddma.bat file to load nascar2. I changed it to load 4 bit graphics instead of the normal 8 bit. It read before: nasrend -dma %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 now it reads : nasrend -dma -4 %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 I can not tell a difference graphic wise, but the game has smoothed out. I run with everything on and paint the entire field. Hope this helps. Later. Tony On Thu, 06 Nov 1997 19:47:48 -0500, "Christopher J. Rogers"
