You again! What, do you post this to all the *** newsgroups!!! You're the only one I've ever heard of with this problem...and they've sold tons Pure 3D cards since they came out in September...they can't keep up with all of the orders! Enough already! I have a Pure 3D as well as two of my friends and we haven't experienced any problems what so ever! I'm sure you just got unlucky. At least Canopus is replacing it for you with no hassles! I know a guy who is still waiting to hear from Hercules after returning a defective 128 3D 6 weeks ago! These things can happen to anyone...sometimes Pentium chips go right away...it's that 1% error thingie...How a companies customer service department deals with the problem is what separates the good companies from the bad ones. Canopus has a great record for standing by their products...Hercules on the other hand....

Sorry to burst your bubble pal. For every person who sounds off like me there are at least a dozen other who DON'T SPEAK UP. Since I posted a few days ago several others have come forward with similiar claims. ALL have returned their card for REFUNDS - NOT replacements and ALL have either gone back to or switch to Orchid or Diamond cards. Canopus has just released an inferior card. This should have been obvious when they sell a 3Dfx card with an extra 2mb of RAM on it for $20 less than the competition who only has 4mb on their cards. They had to cut costs somewhere. I was initially blinded by the extra 2mb, and the TV-Out but when I realized that there is nothing using 4mb textures and that I would never haul my computer out into the living room and that Carmageddon no longer ran I came to my senses. When the card finally blew - that was the final omen to dump this turkey fast and go back to good ole Diamond. My WARNING still stands.

Tech support? What the heck would you need Diamond tech support for? Sheesh, just put the card in, install the drivers & go. It isn't rocket science. Which brings up an interesting point. Diamond drivers & tech support sucks but Canopus doesn't. So you called both for tech support??? That is the implication. And anyone who has a 3DFX card ought to know that you get the drivers from www.3dfx.com and do not use the MFR's drivers. So your position is rather weak. You sure you know what is going on here? I am doubting it. -- Header intentionally scrambled to ward off the spamming hordes.
